Eagle 1 Resources has developed a new standard for the installation of Plastic Encasement for Roadway Crossing to be utilized by the natural gas industry and the water industry. This new Plastic Encasement standard will increase safety for the traveling public and reduce installation expenses for the utility industry. We are in the process of seeking national approval for this new standard. A patent has been applied for with this new standard and the patent pending design has been submitted to the natural gas and water industry for review.
This new standard has been submitted to each state office of the Public Service Commission, which regulates the utilities in each state, and the comments to date have been favorable. The Public Service Commission officials that reviewed the new standard stated that this amounts to rate relief for the utility customers. This new standard has also been submitted to the highway department utilities engineers for each state in the continental United States. All comments have been positive and we believe the Plastic Encasement for Roadway Crossings will be allowed as an alternative for the steel encasements presently being required by the roadway agencies.
The natural gas industry presently has over 1200 utility companies and the water industry has over 155,000 public safe water drinking systems in the United States. The potential for use of this new Plastic Encasement for Roadway Crossing Standard is significant.
